At midnight you can show off your talent in the traditional quadrille on the dance floor. The midnight quadrille has always been a fixed part of Viennese ball culture. The individual steps are announced one after the other so that you can perform a dynamic dance on the dance floor together with the other ball guests in a humorous atmosphere. Don't miss this year's midnight performance.

Our Sound of Vienna team invites all visitors with a VIP, Schubert or Strauss ticket to an exclusive reception from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This special evening will be an unforgettable experience thanks to an exquisite selection of fine wines, delicious canapés and the musical performances of the renowned Salonorchester Alt Wien.

Ball opening
9:00 p.m
At 9:00 p.m. sharp, the traditional opening of the Johann Strauss Summer Ball will be celebrated by enchanting dancers to officially mark the beginning of the festive evening. The dancers will be accompanied by the renowned Salonorchester Alt Wien, which has become known for its unique interpretation of classical Viennese music through worldwide tours.

Look forward to a very special musical supporting program that awaits you from 9:30 p.m. in the Strauss Hall and let yourself be entertained by alternating classical orchestra sounds and modern band beats before, at 10:15 p.m. sharp, immerse yourself in the romantic ambience of the garden terrace of the Kursalon Hübner and enjoy a breathtaking show.

As is usual at every Viennese ball, the Johann Strauss Ball also features exuberant celebrations to the best modern hits of the 80s, 90s and today. After the standard dance workshop, it's time to dance the evening away.
